All my picks from the major Memorial Day sales, the 90s sunglass frames you need this summer, and a special anniversary celebration
Happy Saturday, and Happy Memorial Day weekend!
Any plans for the holiday? This is the first weekend in quite a while that we don’t have kids’ activities or other scheduled events, so we’re lying pretty low. We may head over to the beach for the day (a perk of Florida living!), but otherwise I plan on tons of chilling out.
This week I’ve been watching Margot’s Got Money Troubles, which is all about a single mom who gets a little… crafty… to cover her bills. I found it to be both a little quirky and heartwarming at the same time. Elle Fanning is great!
And—as you may have gleaned from the picture this week—Andrew and I are also celebrating a huge milestone this week—our 15th anniversary. First, that I am at an age where that is possible is wild to me. But also, I find myself feeling so grateful lately to have a “person” in life.
I wish for everyone to have that somone with whom you can not only celebrate life’s biggest joys, but also trudge through life’s biggest challenges. Andrew’s sense of humor and his strength have gotten me through every bump life has thrown at us so far. I’m truly grateful. This weekend we’re celebrating by getting dinner at the hotel where we were married—Bull and Bear at the Waldorf in Orlando. I highly recommend the fried chicken if you ever go!
Anyhow, this newsletter is a little longer than normal, so stick with me! This week you’ll see some extra Fun Finds, because a ton is on sale for this Memorial Day weekend.

Early 2000’s sunglass styles are coming back! (I’m personally leaning in with this oval pair and this tinted-lens pair that’s under $30!.)
So many good sales for Memorial Day! First, what I actually bought and love.
🛍️ These slides are a dupe of an Hermes pair, and they’re 30% off this weekend—down to $63—with code SUNNY.
🛍️ 25% off this SPF-boosing serum I always keep on hand
🛍️ Everything from Dr. Whitney Bowe Beauty is on sale. This is a brand I trust—I’ve interviewed Dr. Bowe multiple times and even went to her skincare launch in NYC—and these products actually work, and are super gentle on the skin barrier to boot. A couple standouts: The retinal is extremely gentle and effective, and the Bowe Glowe Microbiome Nourishing Cream is hydrating and perfect.

🛍️ Sorry for the extreme closeup! But you deserve an unfiltered look at the skin before I tell you a new product I’ve been loving. This is me in the car this past week, no filter, no makeup, after using the OneSkin topical skin supplement for the past month and a half. While I have some work to do on the discoloration, I’m so happy with the glow this product gives me. When I ran out of my other peptide serum, I went into my beauty closet and grabbed this, not expecting at all to be this impressed. This weekend they’re running a gift with purchase special, but because I love you and don’t want to gatekeep, I’m sharing another coupon code (that’s not even mine!) so you can save even more. Use this link to shop, and then use code KEEPINGITREAL for 15% off!
Extras:
🛍️ Revolve’s sale page is popping… up to 80% off!
🛍️ Levi’s: 30% off sitewide through May 25, plus an extra 40% off 501 Original Shorts. My picks—this boyfriend button-down and the high-rise 501 shorts.
🛍️ Madewell: Get an extra 25% off everything sitewide (including sale items) with code LONGWEEKEND.
🛍️ For my fellow tennis girlies, Wilson is running a sale with up to 50% off select apparel pieces. I have this pleated mesh skirt in pink (now on sale for $49), along with the matching tank (now $39), and it’s super cute!
🛍️ Abercrombie: Memorial Day deals are live now through the weekend. Get up to 50% off summer styles. Their summer edit right now is genuinely so good. This red-and-white crochet tank with matching shorts is on my list.
🛍️ Anthropologie: Up to 30% off swim, sandals, and beauty, plus an extra 40% off sale.
🛍️ Nordstrom’s Spring Half-Yearly Sale is up and running
🛍️ Gap: Up to 60% off warm-weather styles through June 1.
Find of the Week:
🛍️ Katie Dean Jewelry: Handmade, colorful beaded jewelry designed in Clearwater, FL—a small brand worth knowing! How great is this gold bar ring, which is $37.50 (!!!) with code MEMDAYSALE30.

You guys. How this made me LOL.
Andrew and I are always joking about how differently we process the world. While he’s more likely to take a stressful event, internalize and process it quietly, I’m more likely to… hmm… circle the drain for days on end and dissect it about 54 different ways. With any type of problem, practical or emotional, I’m gonna talk it through. In fact, now I have a little script. When I’m really needling on something for days at a time, I’ll say, “I need to talk about this again. Hear me out for two minutes.” More often than not it ends in him making some sort of joke, and me, well, not figuring it out any faster lol, but feeling a little relief.
Anyone else have this relationship dynamic? I’m convinced the talkers always end up with the quiet ones!
That’s all for now!
